Todas as interrogações formadas em inglês devem conter um auxiliar, como "Will", "Shall", "To be", "To have" e outros que veremos mais à frente. Quando não intervem nenhum dos auxiliares referidos, deve intervir o auxiliar "To do". Aplica-se o mesmo para dar respostas negativas, onde o auxiliar "To do" deve ser usado quando não intervem outro auxiliar.
